Since the Garden of Eden, the devil has been trying to steal the Word of God (John 10:10). Jesus paid for our freedom, but it’s up to each of us to receive it, hold onto it, and continually walk in His freedom as disciples. Disciples abide in The Word (John 8:31-32) and live by The Word (Matthew 4:4). As we listen, read, study, memorize and meditate on the Scriptures, we live our lives more like Jesus and our hearts become good ground for the perfect Seed to grow (Matthew
13:23). “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”” John 8:31-32 NKJV
But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’ Luke 4:4
